About the AFSC®

The Association of Feng Shui Consultants (AFSC®) is an independent, non-profit organization run on a voluntary basis by a committee elected from the membership.  Established in 2005,  the AFSC® is one of the largest Feng Shui associations in the world. Association membership is open to consultants, students, training institutes and related organizations world wide.

AFSC® members work with residential, small business and commercial projects and are qualified Feng Shui professionals committed to the Association’s Code of Ethics. AFSC® membership denotes a commitment to professionalism and has been developed to maintain, support, educate and share the passion for Feng Shui.

Our dedication to inform and educate the public about Feng Shui and commitment to the ongoing education of our members makes the Association of Feng Shui Consultants one of the world’s leading Feng Shui membership-based organizations .

MEET OUR COMMITTEE MEMBERS FOR 2022/2023

Members of the committee are volunteers dedicated to maintaining the AFSC’s position as a premier Feng Shui Association.

Committee members are obliged to sign a non-circumvention and non-disclosure agreement to protect sensitive membership, committee meetings, and planning information. This agreement applies during their role on the committee and also after their tenure ceases.

All committee members who remain active for 12 months receive Honorary Membership of the AFSC for the following year and free attendance to AFSC events during their tenure on the committee, provided they do not miss more than three committee meetings in succession.

PRESIDENT – Jancy Lew (VIC)

The President is responsible for the leadership, direction, and coordination of the activities of the Association. The President oversees decisions on behalf of the Committee and the AFSC, chairs meetings, oversees all aspects of running the Association, receives reports from Committee members, makes sure everyone is carrying out their job, resolves any problems within the Committee, and speaks on behalf of the Association. The President works with the Management Committee to ensure the necessary skills are represented on the Management Committee and that a succession plan is in place to help find new Committee members when required. The President oversees the development of relevant policies, and strategic business plans in order to achieve the goals of the Association.

VICE PRESIDENT – Michele Castle (WA)

To be the President’s support system, be the first point of contact for Association matters, answer enquiries from our main email address and represent the President in all matters specified by the President. Assist the President with strategies and plans for the Association. They are also responsible for organising the AFSC Annual Conference. To field enquiries that members, prospective members, and the general public have regarding AFSC. Should the President not be available, they deputise for the President in their absence.

SECRETARY – Roslyn Neville (QLD)

The secretary is responsible for the effective maintenance and management of records of the Association and assisting the President to perform Association duties. The Secretary is required to ensure that the records of the Association are maintained as directed by law and made available when required by authorised persons, maintain the register of members in accordance with the Model Rules of incorporation; give proper notification of meetings; develop and distribute an agenda prior to meetings, in consultation with Committee members; manage written Minutes of meetings and distribute to members in a timely manner; assist with the development of aims and relevant business and strategic plans in order to achieve the goals of the Association.

TREASURER – Fraymond Lew (VIC)

The Treasurer is responsible for all incoming and outgoing finances of the Association. The treasurer is required to prepare an annual budget in consultation with the President, projecting income and expenditure for the financial year; maintain an accurate record of all receipts and expenditures of the Association in appropriate file format; receive all monies, including membership subscriptions paid to the Association and issue receipts in the name of the Association; notify secretary and Membership committee of new memberships; pay all accounts presented by the Association in a timely manner; prepare financial statements for presentation at the AGM in accordance with the Act. Fulfill any other requirements of a committee member and perform other duties as the need arises.

PUBLIC OFFICER – Lizette Akouri (NSW)

The responsibilities of the Public Officer’s role is acting as the official contact for the association, including taking delivery of documents served on the association and bringing them to the attention of the committee as soon as practicable. Custody of any documents as required by the constitution. Notifying Fair Trading of any change in the association’s official address, collecting all association documents from former committee members, and delivering the documents to the new committee member. Returning all association documents to a committee member upon vacating office.

ORDINARY COMMITTEE MEMBER – Leonie Keith (QLD)

The responsibilities of an Ordinary committee member’s role is to support the Management Team. Assist to organise events, supporting membership fees collection and enquiries. Supporting members’ concerns and reporting them to the Management Committee. Handling general enquiries, support in marketing and promotion, support on IT and social media when required, encouraging and collecting news, articles and writing for publication from members. The Ordinary committee member is also to fulfil any other requirements of a committee member and perform other duties as the need arises.

ORDINARY COMMITTEE MEMBER – Kristel Van der Zwaan (VIC)

The responsibilities of an Ordinary committee member’s role is to support the Management Team. Assist to organise events, supporting membership fees collection and enquiries. Supporting members’ concerns and reporting them to the Management Committee. Handling general enquiries, support in marketing and promotion, support on IT and social media when required, encouraging and collecting news, articles and writing for publication from members. The Ordinary committee member is also to fulfil any other requirements of a committee member and perform other duties as the need arises.
